Cad Bane scores big for Abbie's Dream Team to support JDRF

On Saturday 16 Oct, members of the MWG and 70th joined forces to help raise funds for Abbie and her Dream Team. Members posed for photos and even a certain Sith Lord did impromptu face painting. The troopers also took part in the Children's costume contest as judges. In the end we helped Abbie exceed her fundraising goal by netting a whopping $3K. The money will be donated to the local chapter of the JDRF. Way to go troopers!

501st Cad Bane makes apperance at NF Walk

On 2 Oct members of the 70th Explorers and Midwest Garrison teamed up to support and raise awareness for Neurofibromatosis or NF.  Though the weather threatened the walk still went as scheduled and the 501st walked proudly with the other teams.  This was the first time the St Louis MO chapter of the CTF held a walk.  Here is an e-mail from the event host:

I can't tell you how much we enjoyed the 501st Legion joining us for the NF
Walk and Family Picnic.  Please express to the rest of the group how very
much we appreciated your coming out for the event!  (If you could provide
their names and addresses, I could send out a personal thank you, but I
don't want to impose, if that is not something they'd appreciate your
doing.)

Attached is the group shot Don took, but it looks as if there were other
folks taking pictures to his left, and a lot of the faces were turned in
that direction.  If I get a better group photo from one of the other
families who took a group photo, I'll be sure to pass it on.
Thanks again, Wally, and I will definitely keep in touch.  You all were
TERRIFIC~~
Best regards,
Patti

Way to go Troopers!!!

"Poor Greedo" Story from Starwars.com

In honor of Greedo's Debut in the Clone Wars, Starwars.com dug up a great story about Greedo from 2009:

It's Not Easy Being Greedo: Greedo Collectibles

So after Friday night, my take is poor Greedo still not getting the break he's after...seems like our lovable bounty hunter will have to wait for another day...

Will Greedo Prove Himself?

The question on everyone's mind, ok so really on my mind, is will Greedo finally redeem himself...for 30+ years this account of Greedo's exploits has been hidden away and tonight on The Clone Wars Greedo will make his appearance...Will he prove himself to be an underrated Bounty Hunter or will he prove otherwise...Tune in to The Clone Wars tonight to find out!

Much better artist than Cad

So funny enough there must be a Kowakian Monkey Lizard vibe in the air, this is off Starwars.com wonderful Mondo print of Salacious B. Crumb, love that guy!
